The NFP4Health 2 project strengthens the capacity of National Focal Points (NFPs) in the health sector to support the effective implementation of EU health programmes across EU Member States. Building on the foundations laid by the previous Joint Action, NFP4Health (find more info in the Archive section), the project enhances NFPs’ ability to provide high-quality expert support, foster synergies with national health initiatives, and facilitate coordinated delivery of EU health priorities. In doing so, it reinforces the NFP network as a key enabler of the EU’s health objectives.

The project expands and deepens the capacity-building activities initiated under NFP4Health through a comprehensive programme of peer-to-peer learning and training. These activities address recent developments in EU health policies and funding frameworks, ensuring that NFPs are well equipped to guide national stakeholders through EU4Health  application and implementation processes. Tailored support will also be created to beneficiaries implementing EU4Health actions, including guidance on dissemination, exploitation of results, and maximising impact at national level.

A central element of the project is the establishment of an NFP Knowledge Hub—a shared, digital platform bringing together training materials, practical tools, guidelines, and best practices for all NFPs. The Knowledge Hub will serve as a one-stop resource for NFPs, supporting continuous learning, collaboration, and knowledge exchange across the network.

By reinforcing the existing NFP network and increasing national-level capacity, NFP4Health 2 will support the European Commission in the implementation of the EU4Health Programme and contribute to stronger coordination, more effective programme delivery, and improved health outcomes across Europe.
